Welcome Dr. Dale Burke!
Over the last 23 years of Clinical Practice, we have employed two associate dentists to fill-in when Dr. Johnson is away for training or family time. For the last few years, our practice has been looking for the ideal associate to join our family practice so we decided to create a “wish list” of what/who we were looking for. Our goal was to find someone with strong clinical skills and experience, a great personality, and the flexibility to augment our existing schedule. Dr. Johnson wants to allow our patients the opportunity to see this associate dentist on Mondays or when he is out of the office. This associate is to be part of our regular team and would be here primarily as an option to continue your care to best fit your busy schedule. Dr. Dale Burke came along and he answered every part of our wish list! We are so excited to introduce him to our family practice.
Dr. Dale Burke graduated from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry in 1985. Following graduation, he practiced dentistry as an officer in the US Public Health Service serving Native Americans in South Dakota, Michigan and Alaska. Dr. Burke completed an Advanced General Dental Residency at the Alaska Native Medical Center in Anchorage from 1992-1994. After separating from the USPHS, he opened a family-oriented dental practice in Eagle River, with an emphasis on esthetic dentistry and non-surgical periodontal treatment (“gum disease”). Dr. Burke focuses on assisting his patients in achieving comfortable and great looking smiles in a relaxed manner. He sold his Eagle River office in 2008 to pursue charitable work internationally. Because of his high need for adventure, he has also provided dental care as an itinerant dentist in Nome and eleven other villages of Alaska.
Dr. Burke thoroughly enjoys spending time with Joyce, his wife of 27 years, and his three children. Together, they enjoy just about everything Alaska has to offer. He and his wife are currently in the process of opening a children’s home in Kenya. They are also involved in supporting developing leaders in Mongolia.
We are sure you will enjoy meeting Dr. Burke as he brings his keen wit and enthusiasm for dentistry along with great care and compassion.
Welcome Dr. Burke – we are happy to have you on board!
