Kaylynn

Kaylynn – Operations Manager

I was born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska. When I am not at work, my husband and I enjoy biking, camping, walking our fur babies, and spending time with friends and family. Even though I am an Alaskan girl, I hate the cold!

I started my dental career in 2008 as a hygiene coordinator. My interest in dentistry grew, leading me to attend dental assisting school. I continued my career as a dental assistant for nine years, leading me to a clinical lead position and allowing me to grow into management.

My passion for dentistry and our impact on our patients’ lives has kept me in dentistry to this day. I love taking care of others and seeing them leave with a smile. I am blessed to work with Dr. Kendall and the team at Excellence in Dentistry.

Say, “Hi!” to me at your next appointment. I’d love to meet you!

Sarah at Excellence in Dentistry

Sarah – Business Assistant

Having been born and raised right here in Alaska, I have been able to take advantage of all the beauty and spender offered by our amazing state. My husband and I both enjoy the privilege of working for local organizations and being able to contribute to our community. Our family appreciates being able to savor Alaska’s winter activities as well as all the summertime fun.

Being in the dental field for so long has given me the opportunity to aid patients from several areas of the dental office. I started in dentistry as an assistant and have also working front admin as well as in billing. Working for Excellence in Dentistry allows me to enjoy my favorite aspect of the dental office, which is helping patients use and understand their dental benefits. The amazing team here at Excellence, opens the door for patients to experience the most advanced and comprehensive treatment available, and I am proud to be able to support our patients get the care they desire.

Jennifer from Excellence in Dentistry

Jenn – New Patient Coordinator

I was born and raised in this beautiful state of Alaska. In my spare time, I enjoy dancing anything from swing to salsa, river fishing, traveling, scrap booking, running and singing (when no one is listening). Well, okay, you might catch me at a karaoke bar singing to 80’s music!

I was first introduced to dentistry in 2002 while in Germany and am very happy to have been a part of Excellence in Dentistry team since February 2006. My favorite part of dental assisting is working with people and giving them something to smile about. To me, that is giving them the best dentistry possible! However, my number one concern is to make every visit a calming one and to exceed all expectations. I am always available and happy to answer any questions or concerns you may have, and look forward to meeting you.

Elissa

Elissa – Dental Hygienist

I grew up in this great state and enjoyed doing all things outdoors with my family like rafting, hiking, camping, hunting, fishing, ice skating, you name it. In 2015, I left the state to pursue my education in exercise science and dental hygiene. While away, I met and married my husband and was able to convince him to move back to Alaska with me. We have loved our adventures here thus far and can’t wait for more to come! I’m passionate about oral and overall health and love to help others improve their smiles and happiness.

Vicky from Excellence in Dentistry

Vicky – Dental Hygienist

Working with Excellence in Dentistry since 1994 gives me the opportunity to really know and appreciate our dental family. Although advanced periodontal treatment and maintenance is my specialty, I am involved with all aspects of our dental practice. I have had extensive advanced continuing education in the prevention and treatment of periodontal disease; the national certification in dental lasers; and cosmetic and general dentistry services. Over the years, I have volunteered at community health classes, health fairs, nursing homes and Mission of Mercy.

Outside of work is my world of family. My husband and I have been blessed with five wonderful children and eight grandchildren and counting. As a family, we enjoy fishing the rivers and saltwater of Alaska, plus hunting, camping, hiking and biking. I enjoy learning about health, nutrition and herbalism, fitness, gardening, working on our church board and participating in mission work.

It’s an honor to work with a team of true professionals and a wonderful “family” of clients.

Camiel from Excellence in Dentistry

Camiel – Dental Hygienist

I have been in dentistry for over 20 years, 16 of those as a dental hygienist. My husband and I moved to Alaska in 2002 so I could attend the UAA dental hygiene program. We had every intention of moving back to Oregon once I graduated but God had other plans and here we are 19 years later!

I have no middle name, I rarely make my bed, I love nature but hate camping and an excellent cup of coffee and a good book are my perfect Friday evening.

I love the relational aspect of dentistry – making friends and life-long connections. I am excited to be a part of the Excellence in Dentistry team and I cannot wait to meet you!

Nicole from Excellence in Dentistry

Nicole – Dental Assistant

I was born and raised in Idaho where I enjoyed riding horses and playing on tall haystacks. In 2009 I attended dental assisting school where later I would work as a dental assistant. I moved to Anchorage Alaska in 2011 and continued my career as a dental assistant. I became an Expanded Functions assistant in 2016 after satisfying all requirements with UAA.

I have two beautiful little boys that I spend most of time with outside of work. We enjoy fishing, camping, and hiking in the summers. Ice skating and sledding are our go to during the winter. I am excited to meet you and help with your dental needs at Excellence in Dentistry.

Evelynn Excellence in Dentistry

Evelynn – Dental Assistant

I was born in Southern California and raised in Mexico until the age of 9. Learning a new language was scary and exciting all at the same time, much like when I first started in dentistry. I moved to Alaska in 2018 and fell in love with all the beauty, and wildlife Alaska has to offer. On my days off, I spend time being a sports mom to my two boys and daughter.

I have had the opportunity to work both as a schedule coordinator and dental assistant. Both of these positions have given me the opportunity to help patients with their smile. Making someone feel like they can smile again and bring back their confidence is one of the best parts of my career. I can’t wait to meet you and help with all your dental needs!
